Was excited to try fries and was so disappointed. They got so dark on the outside and were hard and still raw on the inside. I used peanut oil which I was told is the best. I just don't know what to do now to get nice light, crunchy, fully cooked french fries. I hate the dark fries and was really disappointed with this fryer. We used it primarily for frying root vegetables, potato, sweet potato, beets and fried apps like poppers. Never cooked meat in it, just don't fry meats. I use peanut oil in my machine and have never had a heat loss issue. Now cleaning on the other hand...That is more tricky. I recommend not letting the grease build up or forget to wipe it down after it is cooled, because once it starts to cake on it is a pain to clean. I recommend this product.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05995621408037013122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-747389081865359806.post-86150523507237637872015-12-03T09:40:50.907-05:002015-12-03T09:40:50.907-05:00I have had my Cool Daddy for over 10 years.
